This piece combines my fascination with milagros and Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls. A swirl-patterned and pierced sterling skull with dark metal flower petal eyes has detailed, double-layered brass and sterling wings. The brass has been left with its original heat patina and the skull has been lightly oxidized to bring out the pattern. Hangs by a large, decoratively stamped sterling bail on a double 8-strand braided leather cord in black. The cord has silver tone end caps and a sterling lobster claw.
This is a large piece, not for the faint of heart! 2" wide by 2.5" high at the top of the bail. Length is approximately 20".
