Sugar Skull Candle Holder
Sugar skulls are popular images associated with the Latin American cultural event known as Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. While our Halloween is all about scary ghosts and spirits, Dia de los Muertos is about honoring the dead and the sugar skull is a popular icon, and a treat.
This copper sugar skull is elaborately hand-pierced with a jeweler's saw as are his decorative flowers. Color on the skull comes from heat, and alcohol ink. The flowers are colored with alcohol inks as well. Set on a 4" square Lucite base with a space for your candle. I include a battery operated candle and recommend using one, as I can't guarantee that the heat from a real candle won't change the colors on the skull.
Slightly over 5" tall and the flowers on the sides are approximately 3". Base is 4" square.
Absolutely one of a kind.
