Reliquary for ashes

A friend lost her beloved dog and wanted this piece made as a reliquary for her ashes. I made the piece of sterling, to my friend's design, which I think is beautiful. The paw is done from an actual print of her lost pup. The feather is a hollow form, with an opening and a plug to hold the ashes. On the back is a loop to slide the piece onto a leather bracelet.

I felt very honored to be asked to make this.
